Badrinath Ki Dulhania stars Varun Bhatt and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles and going by the trailer, you get that quirky feel. And you would expect the same from the jukebox.

Here’s our take on the music of Badrinath Ki Dulhania:

Aashiq Surrender Hua

Tune English mein jab humko daanta
Toh aashiq surrender hua

Pyaar se maara galon pe chanta

Toh aashiq surrender hua…

Here comes the first song from the album, Aashiq Surrender Hua. The song will give you the 90’s vibes and you would imagine Govinda and Karishma dancing to the tunes – a typical UP wala flavour is there in it. The lyrics, by Shabbir Ahmed are catchy and funky. Guitar, mandolin, and drums are perfectly blended into the song, but there’s something which is still missing.

Roke Na Ruke Naina

Arijit Singh is all over and is giving his voice to almost all the albums and you are all praises for the way he does his part so effortlessly! Roke Na Ruke Naina can be seen as a love ballad and if you’re in love, you would surely relate to it. The best part of the song is when there is an intersection and you get to hear the tunes of mandolin, guzheng and drums. Sukh gaye hain ansu teri judai ke, Palkon se phir bhi badal, Chhat’te nahi hain, Khud ko main hasaun kaise, Maane na manaun kaise, Tu bata.. you would fall in for the lyrics by Kumaar. Are you missing the one you truly loved? Just close your eyes and listen to this track!

We have one more romantic number and this takes all your attention. Sung by Akhil Sachdeva and Mansheel Gujral, Humsafar continues the same vibe of the jukebox. This song is also a love ballad. In this track, both the lovers are thankful to each other for making their lives beautiful. This number is best suited for those who have recently found their true love. In the background, you hear bass guitar and that does rest of the job!

Badri Ki Dulhania (Title Song)

Holi is round the corner and we have the apt song – the title song of Badri Ki Dulhania. Holi hai..Baby badi bholi hai, Baby ki rang di choli hai – you would just go into your day dreaming mode sitting in the office – and start dancing to the tunes of it. Dhol in the Holi song is just perfect and you would love how Dev Negi, Neha Kakkar, Monali Thakur and Ikka have taken into an entirely different tempo. Hats off for Tanishk Bagchi who has made the song so relatable to the current generation.

Tamma Tamma Again

Reprising the old popular songs has become the ‘it’ thing in Bollywood and it’s working in their favour. Tamma Tamma Again is taken from Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt’s Tamma Tamma Loge, but set according to the modern age vibes. The song ends with the tunes of mandolin and it’s just perfect! The makers have retained the original vocals of Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal’s Tamma Tamma LogeTanishk Bagchi, here, also has created the magic of employing just the right tunes and making it that way you just start tapping your feet.

Verdict: In a nutshell, Badrinath Ki Dulhania‘s album is a mix bag of romantic and dhamakedaar tunes, but there is something which is lacking!

What do you guys think?
